Are You Psychic?

Do we all have psychic abilities? Is intuition merely an emotional state or fleeting thought, but nothing substantial or particularly real? The denial of the power of intuition is a block to our awareness of mystical domains. We can only experience what we are willing to acknowledge. A materialistic worldview is invested in the notion of limits and fear.

Light is defined as “understanding” in A Course Of Miracles.

The world as we know it can not stand before the power of a human race that has remembered who we really are and reclaimed our spiritual powers. The investment in our forgetfulness, in most cases, is enormous. We have been asleep to our spiritual heritage for ages, and our greatest chance of awakening lies in awakening together.

There are realms in consciousness in which we think normal limitations (physical, psychological or emotional) do not apply. Psychic ability is a power belonging to each of us, our birthright. It is an expansion of what we consider natural — an ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses through extrasensory perception.

Psychic ability is a gift we can use to connect with our true nature and discern authenticity from confusion. It is particularly helpful in making decisions or problem-solving.

We can access knowledge that can improve the quality of our life totally free of charge any time we want. We receive psychic messages mainly through the four senses: Vision (clairvoyance), hearing (clairaudience), thoughts (claircognisance) and feelings (clairsentience). Usually we have one primary sense we are particularly attuned to but some people might have access through a combination of different senses.

Let’s explore the various ways guidance can reach us. I have also included a table which shows signs that differentiate a true message from a false one.

Clairvoyance 

The word clairvoyance is derived from 17th Century French with clair meaning clear and voyance meaning seeing. Clairvoyance is the intuitive ability to see visions which are invisible to the naked eye of an ordinary person. This faculty is to do with inner seeing or insight.

The important aspect of seeing psychically is to be aware of images that come into your mind and the ability to interpret them. Messages are relayed in the same way dreams appear — through the subconscious mind. In dreams, the ego (conscious mind) cannot interfere and rationalise the images, which are metaphors or symbols.
